About me.

Since an early age, my passion for animals and their ecosystems has instilled in me a desire to understand how the connection between wildlife, ecosystems, and people is pivotal to the survival of all species, but I have often wondered how I can help others understand this too.

Of course people, for generations, have been told how ecosystems are inextricably related to all humans and wildlife, but how do we make people more knowledgeable about conservation and its power to heal and restore?

Over the last few years, my interests have expanded through working with experts in the field and having the kind of hands-on experiences that deepened my understanding of that integral connection between all living things. To be able to travel to key ecosystems throughout the world has also furthered my support of community based conservation and formed a more developed outlook on all aspects of wildlife preservation.  More recently though, my focus has shifted specifically to pangolins, particularly their biological importance as it relates to their respective ecosystems.

Last year, after returning from another field experience with researchers studying and tracking pangolins in South Africa, I gave a TEDx talk at my school, Phillips Exeter Academy. It included lessons we can learn from pangolin conservation as well as broader conservation topics.

I am committed to this work and believe the window of opportunity to take action is in its prime now.  Please join me on this visual adventure, as I hope to raise people’s environmental awareness and expand their view of the natural world.

Pangolin Conservation and Why We Need it.

Zander speaks on endangered species, especially obscure wildlife like pangolins, and why we need to protect them. Zander Galli is a returning lower at Exeter. He's from Miami and is passionate about wildlife photography and all things conservation.
